Call centers are staffed by information referral specialists with an extensive database at their fingertips that includes both government agencies and private community-based service providers. After assessing a caller’s need, specialists directly transfers him/her to a local agency or organization that can best meet the caller’s needs.
2-1-1- call centers operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year throughout New Jersey and are completely confidential.
